What is the difference between home health care and non-medical care?
Home health care refers to a licensed medical professional like a nurse or physical therapist who are only allowed to perform tasks prescribed by a physician. Such tasks might include wound care, IVs, injects and physical therapy.
Non-medical care refers to the ways to help a person with daily activities which allow him/her to remain independent, engaged, safe and healthy. Such tasks might include bathing and grooming assistance, meal preparation, running errands, entertainment like playing cards, engaging in conversation, reading and writing assistance, or even taking out the trash. Blood pressure checks and blood glucose meter testing are also available.
Do you provide 24/7 care?
Assisting Angels are available 24/7 including holidays. We work with your needs when scheduling care.
Can I choose specific services I need?
Yes. We understand that not everyone will need the same services or level of care, so we’re more than happy to accommodate your specific needs. We will work with you to determine what services you need, and we will periodically review the plan to ensure your satisfaction.
Can I change the schedule needed?
Schedule changes are easily accomplished with as little as one week notice. Our philosophy is to make the schedule work for the family, not the agency. You come first. Your needs, your requests, your schedule. We will do everything possible to make sure the schedule you want is the schedule you get.
How quickly can services begin?
Generally services can be provided within a 48-hour period and often the same day.

Yes. We can provide services to disabled people, to pregnant women on restrictions like bed rest, to people recovering from surgery (non-medical care), etc. Basically, if you or a loved one needs non-medical care, we can help you.
Do you provide services in assisted living facilities or nursing homes?
Yes. People sometimes discover that the assistance provided in an assisted living facility or nursing home is not sufficient to enable them to remain independent. In these cases, Assisting Angels provides a qualified caregiver to make this possible.
Do you provide services in hospitals?
Yes. We are available to help when someone is in the hospital and needs that extra bit of care and attention. Our services can often provide family members a respite when a loved one is in the hospital long term.
What kind of services do you provide?
Assisting Angels provides companion, personal care and home help services. Our services are designed to provide assistance with those activities that elders need help with in order to be able to stay at home safely and with dignity.
